Star West Indies player Chris Gayle sounded optimistic of his team’s performance as the Twenty20 World Cup kicked off in Sri Lanka. Speaking to reporters in Colombo today, Gayle said that the team was balanced and that the initial target will be to get past the group stages. Gayle said that their opening match against Australia will be challenging and that they will try to win the match. The Twenty20 cricket World Cup is being hosted by Sri Lanka and 12 nations are participating in the tournament that will end on October 7.
